Altrusans are truly awesome -- when they set their hearts and minds on a project, it is guaranteed that project will be accomplished successfully and more.

The Altrusa Memory Walk 2003 Team did just that. The fourteen member team collected donations in a variety of creative ways: asking family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and employers; selling candy; having a neighborhood tea for $20 -- you name it, they did it. Jean Campbell received a $50 donation from her boss at Enablesoft and from Glen's union. In the end, the "Altrusa Team" donated $2,255 to the Alzheimer's Association of Central and North Florida, which included the Club's match of $1,000. The funds will be used to assist Alzheimer patients and their families here in Central Florida.
